The number of musical addresses in Paris (c 350) even surpass that of Vienna (c 280), especially because of the flood of 20^th century composers from abroad who were attracted to the ‘City of Light’ and left numerous traces.

The Metro-stations mentioned are not necessarily the nearest to every address, but addresses which share a Metro station are anyhow within walking distance. The 9th arrondissement, the richest of musical memories, has been cut into a northern and a southern part. The suburbs – Banlieu – are beyond the boundary of Paris and belong to the region Isle de France; they will be treated seperately in fr1 and fr2.
